The Divine Mercy

      Jesus I Trust In You

Mary Faustina Kowalska,(1905-1938) now Staint Faustina, was a devout Polish Girl who felt the call at an early age to enter into religious life. After being called in a vision by Christ, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Our lady of Mercy. Our Lord appeared to Sr. Faustina in 1931 and asked her to have an image of Himself painted according to what she saw. The now famous image of Christ was painted in Vilnius by the artest Eugene Kazimirovski in the presence and under the direction of sister Faustina.

Jesus said to Sr. Faustina: "I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of My mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature; Jesus, I trust in You."  "By means of this image I shall be granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have access to it" (Diary, 570)

The basic Divine Mercy message is to ask God for Mercy, be merciful to others, and completely trust in God's mercy.
