Its a Trinitarian prayer:
When one prays before a sacred image of Christ, they are praying before the Father as well, for
our Lord said to Philip "He who has seen me has seen the Father." John 14:9
Christ in fact, came to us in the image of who the Father is because Christ and the Farther are wholly in unity in One Another. Just as the Holy Spirit is wholly in the Father and wholly in the Son. (CC 225) So our prayer before the sacred image of our Lord is received wholly by the Trinity. It is a Trinitarian prayer.
